Setting up Alfred Custom Search

SnippetsLab supports a custom URL scheme that integrates seamlessly with Alfred custom searches. With this set up, you can search your SnippetsLab library directly from Alfred and view the results in SnippetsLab.

To add the custom search, click here. Alternatively, follow the steps below to configure it manually:

  • Open Alfred Settings and navigate to Features.

  • Choose Web Search from the list of features on the left.

  • Select the Search tab, if needed.

  • Click the Add Custom Search button in the bottom-right corner.

  • Fill in the following details:

    • Search URL: snippetslab://search/{query}

    • Title: Search SnippetsLab for {query}

    • Keyword: snippets (or any other activation keyword you prefer)

Note

Unlike the Alfred Workflow, the Powerpack is not required in order to use custom searches. You may also check out the official Alfred documentation for more information.
